Taplio is one of the best-known LinkedIn AI tools: drafting, scheduling, carousels, analytics and engagement features, built around LinkedIn growth. This page compares it with SocialCraft AI for people choosing where to write and schedule LinkedIn posts.
What Taplio does well
- A full LinkedIn workflow: AI drafting with hook generation and one-click rewrites, a queue and visual calendar for personal profiles and company pages, analytics, and carousel generation from an idea, post, article or YouTube URL.
- Engagement and outreach tools on higher tiers: curated feeds, AI smart replies, lead lists, auto connection requests and DMs.
- A free Chrome extension that, per their site, works without a Taplio plan.
- An MCP server (27 tools, per their site) that works with Claude, ChatGPT and other AI clients, and says nothing posts until you confirm.

Grounding Report
SocialCraft AI runs a source-fidelity guard on every draft. A statistic, dollar amount, count or timeframe it cannot trace to what you gave it is swapped out, and the Grounding Report shows each swap. It is a guide, not a fact-check: it compares the draft to your input, not to the world.
Platforms
Taplio frames everything around LinkedIn; X, Instagram and TikTok are not listed on their site as of October 22, 2026. SocialCraft AI drafts for and publishes to LinkedIn, X and TikTok (Instagram publishing is coming soon).
Checking drafts
Taplio says its AI writes "in your voice." Checking generated content for accuracy is not listed on their site as of October 22, 2026, though a free "Linkedin AI Slop Detector" tool appears in their footer and we did not read what it does. SocialCraft AI's check is the Grounding Report described above, and it covers figures, not every kind of claim.
Video
SocialCraft AI includes a video studio that renders 1080p and 4K video server-side. Video generation is not something we found on the Taplio pages we read.

Limits of this comparison
- Taplio's pricing table shows a limited credit value and "Unlimited" per row, and the page text does not say how the 250 AI-credit and 500 comment-credit limits split between Starter and Growth.
- Taplio's own pages differ on the card requirement for the trial (the pricing FAQ says to create an account and pick a plan; feature pages say "No credit card to start") and on the monthly benchmark post count (60,000, 50,214 and 50k+).
- An earlier version of this page, published in March 2026, made claims about Taplio that were not checked against its site, including the listed tiers and an 8K video output that SocialCraft AI does not offer. This version replaces it.
- We did not read Taplio's Terms or Help Center, and we have not used the product; this page compares what each site says.
