TikTok Auto-Publishing Is Here: Schedule Videos That Post Themselves

3 min read

SocialCraft AI now posts your TikTok videos within about five minutes of the scheduled time. Attach a video, pick a time, and it publishes on schedule, only the videos you've attached and scheduled. No "copy this link and open TikTok" step, no manual upload.

What Changed

TikTok publishing previously ended at a scheduling stub. Now, through TikTok's Direct Post API, scheduled posts publish real video content automatically. The workflow is: attach a video URL (a Video Studio render, a Media Studio clip, or any public video URL), choose a time, and SocialCraft publishes it when the clock hits.

How It Works

  • Video URL required: TikTok's Direct Post API takes a hosted video URL rather than a raw upload, so scheduled TikTok posts need an attached video URL. This is the same attachment flow used in the scheduler.
  • Renders publish directly: videos rendered through the studio carry a hosted URL automatically, so they can be scheduled end-to-end without extra steps.
  • Privacy default: posts publish as SELF_ONLY by default until your TikTok developer app passes the platform audit. Once the audit clears, you can switch to public publishing — a one-time setting, not a per-post decision.

Why Direct-Post Matters

The alternative to direct posting is either manual uploads (which defeats scheduling) or third-party workarounds (which TikTok has spent years tightening). Direct Post API publishing means the schedule is real: a video set for Friday 9am publishes Friday 9am, using your own connected account and your own published content — no proxy account, no screenshot notifications.

Get Started

Connect your TikTok account, render or attach a video, and schedule. The same scheduler that handles LinkedIn and Twitter/X now handles TikTok — one calendar, all platforms, video included.
